Finance and funding
At Dallam School, we care about each student’s unique situation. We know that students who qualify for pupil premium funding might face challenges compared to their classmates.
To help, our strategy ensures we can tailor support to each individual. Our main goal is to give them the tools they need to do well in all parts of school.
We believe it’s important to give extra support to pupil premium students in their studies and personal lives. We make sure to find and fix any problems early on, so students who might be at a disadvantage don’t feel that way, and instead benefit from our ongoing help.
Strategies to support students include:
- developing high-quality teaching, for example through professional development and recruitment and retention
- providing targeted academic support, such as one-to-one or small group tuition
- tackling non-academic barriers to academic success, such as difficulties with attendance, behaviour and social and emotional wellbeing
