Year 10 and 11 Students Achieve Success in UKMT Intermediate Mathematical Challenge
A group of our Year 10 and 11 students recently took part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Intermediate Mathematical Challenge, a national competition designed to promote mathematical reasoning, precision and problem-solving.
We are delighted with the achievements of our students this year, which reflect both their talent and their commitment to stretching themselves beyond the classroom. Across the competition, Dallam students achieved:
2 Gold awards, including Best in School
12 Silver awards, including Best in Year
22 Bronze awards
1 Certificate of Merit
29 Participation certificates
In total, 66 Dallam students took part in the challenge, representing a fantastic effort and a strong showcase of mathematical thinking, determination and resilience.
A special mention goes to Thomas Melrose, who has qualified for the next round of the competition, taking place on 16 March. This is an excellent achievement and a testament to his hard work and mathematical ability.
Congratulations to all of the students involved. We are incredibly proud of their success and the way they have embraced this opportunity.
