Extra-curricular clubs for the summer term

Extra-curricular clubs for the summer term

Take a look at our lunchtime and after-school clubs list for the summer term.

This term our after-school sports clubs focus on rounders, athletics, cricket and yoga.  Students can also make the most of the lighter evenings with running club on Fridays.

There are a huge variety of clubs on offer.  There are clubs for those who love to lose themselves within the pages of a book, a raft of music clubs for a variety of tastes including rock and folk and choir.  This is to name but a few…

Lunchtime and after-school clubs are put on for students’ learning and enjoyment.  Most faculties run extra-curricular clubs so if your child is into sports, art, music, singing, science, media, computing, English or maths, there will be something to interest them and they are a great way for them to meet other students who share their interest.

Parents and carers – please encourage your children to take part in some extra-curricular activities, there are many benefits to participating in extra-curricular activities, students can:

  • Learn new skills
  • Boost academic performance
  • Develop social skills
  • Improve time management – learning to balance time at school, clubs and home
  • Impress universities/colleges

Plus, it’s a way to make new friends as well as being something fun to do!
