MathsWatch

MathsWatch at Dallam School has been relaunched this term and we are very impressed with the number of students who are completing their homework each week. Rewards are handed out weekly for those students achieving well and classes are competing against each other to have the best hand in rate. Maths homework is important to reinforce concepts, retain knowledge, prepare for assessments and provide feedback to both the student and teacher. Students who find a question difficult are able to watch a short video to learn more about the concept. This independent revision skill sets students up for success in Y11 and beyond. All students in Y7-Y10 receive homework on a Wednesday, due the following Wednesday. They can also come to homework support at lunch in room 1 on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. Here is what some of our students have to say about MathsWatch:

MathsWatch is fun and easy to use. I also like the facts and the maths jokes it has at the side’ – Jude

MathsWatch isn’t as complicated as other maths sites and it helps with learning’ – Tirion

I think MathsWatch is brilliant for maths homework’ – Idris

Keep up the hard work all! Remember the best mathematicians revise little and often.
