Alumni fell running successes in Montenegro
During the weekend 28-30 June 2025, four Dallam alumni students (Rosie Woodhams, Chloe Rylance, Charlie Allmond, and Sophie Rylance) represented the United Kingdom in the eighth Youth Skyrunning World Championships in Bar, Montenegro.
The event is made up of two races; the VERTICAL held on the Friday was a 5km uphill only race with 1,000m of vertical climb, and then the SKY held on the Sunday was an up and down 21km race with 1,600m vertical climb.
Over 200 athletes from 28 countries took part with the UK team coming home with a team bronze medal (team pictured to the right above). Many of the alumni have played a part in Dallam’s fell running heritage when the school was the top school in the English Schools fell running championships in both 2018 and 2019.
