Admissions to Dallam School Boarding House

We’re delighted you’re considering joining our boarding community. Here’s how our admissions process works:

  • No Exams, No Stress: Admission to our school is straightforward – there are no exams to take. We believe in making the process as simple as possible for you.
  • Year 10 or 12 Entry: Students must stay for two years to complete their full GCSE or A-level studies.
  • GCSE and A-Level Requirements: Students who haven’t taken GCSE or iGCSE Maths and English will need to do so unless they are studying these subjects at A-level.
  • Reference from Present School: Before Mrs Gilbert, our Head of Boarding, reviews your application, we’ll request a reference from your current school.
  • Confirmation of Acceptance: Upon acceptance, you’ll need to sign a boarding agreement confirming your commitment to settle accounts before each term and provide two terms’ notice if you wish to withdraw from the boarding house.
  • Deposit and Registration Fee: Upon acceptance, a deposit and registration fee are required. The deposit is refundable once all outstanding invoices are settled, while the registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Guardian Requirement: Students residing outside the UK must have a guardian based in the UK.

Important Information

Admission to state boarding schools in the UK is limited to UK nationals or those with the right of residence in the UK. Holding a BN(O) passport does not make a child eligible for admission.

We’re here to make your transition to Dallam School Boarding House as smooth as possible. If you have any questions or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant community.
